The hottest geeky girls in Hollywood

By Nicolas Callegari

As much as geeks and hipsters will denounce all the commercialism and mainstream appeal that is Hollywoodland, there is no denying that there are some girls that are very easy on the eyes and are also completely geek-crush-worthy.

Here's our top four:

(1) Zooey Deschenel

There’s something very interesting about Katy Perry lookalike - Zooey Deschenel. She has this hidden cuteness that shines through even the clumsiest, nerdy exterior that she happens to have on at any given time. Whether she’s playing a deadpan department store worker in Elf, or the co-pilot of the most amazing spaceship ever built in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, geeks everywhere will continue to “herpa derp derp” at the very sight of her.

Catch Zoey Deschenel in New Girl, starting on Sat 11 Feb at 19:00 on M-Net Series and also available on DStv On Demand.

(2) Emma Stone

Whether it’s her husky “come to bed” voice or her mesmerising eyes, Emma Stone is guaranteed to be at the top of geek-crush lists everywhere. Not only has she been able to fend off a Zombie Apocalypse, but she’s also playing another geek crush in the upcoming Amazing Spider-man – Gwen Stacy. Emma can stay, especially if she’s brandishing an assault shotgun and fending off monsters.

(3) Emma Watson

My, my, my, how she’s grown. Emma Watson, famous for her roles as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, has turned into the girl that geeks would be proud to have on their iPhones and computer backgrounds. She’s probably the first hottie to bridge the divide between the geeks and the masses because she’s featured in mainstream advertising as well. It’s okay Emma, we’ll always have Hogwarts.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 are both available to rent on BoxOffice Online BETA.

(4) Katee Sakhoff

Katee Sakhoff has made a name for herself as the subject of many geeky fantasies thanks to her portrayal of the talented and ever-rebellious star fighter pilot, Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica. She’s quite unashamedly eating up her new-found fame amongst geek communities, having also appeared in Big Bang Theory on more than one occasion and also by voicing a Mandalorian warrior in the fifth season of Star Wars: Clone Wars. So say we all!
