

Season six opens with a terrifying vision of Tommy’s afterlife.
His family and fallen comrades usher him back into the real world. Back on the other side and with the memory of his hell haunting him, Tommy remains at constant unease. After he rescues a priest from a burning church, Tommy hopes that he’ll be offered some perspective on his brush with death. However, the priest isn’t the sage Tommy hoped for. With funding for the station at an all-time low, the guys formulate a plan to gain local support but their hopes are threatened by medical concerns.

Daniel Sunjata
Daniel Sunjata began acting in episodes of Law and Order, and went on to appear in the theatrical release Bad Company, as well as the television series All My Children before he landed the role of the NYC fireman drama Rescue Me.
The Tony award-nominated actor Daniel Sunjata was born on December 30, 1971. He is of African American, Irish and German heritage.
Sunjata obtained a fine arts degree from the Tisch School of the Arts in NYU. He got a Theatre World Award in 2003 for his role in Take Me Out, which also scored him nominations for Drama Desk and Tony Awards.
Franco Rivera is a NYC firefighter who serves as Tommy Gavin ’s protégé. Franco is a notorious ladies man who starts a romantic relationship Alicia, an older woman.

John Scurti
A common fixture in television, Scurti has made guest appearances on Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Monk, Hope & Faith, Ed, Law & Order and Sex and the City.
His character, Lt. Kenny Shea , is a firefighter in New York City, he shares a close friendship with Tommy Gavin . Kenny is in constant struggle to reconcile his love for poetry and spirituality with the brutal, macho nature of his profession.
Also a writer, Scurti received a 'Story by' credit for DNA, an episode from Rescue Me's first season.
Other film credits include Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds and Mona Lisa Smile.

Steven Pasquale
Steven is is best-known for his role as Sean Garrity in M-Net Series’ critically acclaimed series Rescue Me. He made his debut on the Six Feet Under, playing a love interest for David. He also starred in the film Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.
He played the role of Sheriff Joe Sutter in the musical The Spitfire Grill in which he introduced the song "Forest For the Trees." He then scored the lead role of Chris in the 1998 American tour of Miss Saigon. He appeared at the Joey DiPaolo AIDS Foundation's concert of The Secret Garden as Archibald Craven, alongside Michael Arden, Jaclyn Nedenthal, Will Chase, Max von Essen, Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Laura Benanti, whom he later married.
In 2009, the record label announced it would release his first album, Somethin' Like Love. A jazz album

Michael Lombardi
Michael Lombardi was born and raised in Connecticut, U.S.A.
He decided to pursue acting when he was still young, and he studied at the Connecticut Conservatory of Performing Arts before moving to New York City to seriously pursue his craft.
His small screen credits include appearances in Saturday Night Live.
Mike Silletti is played by Michael Lombardi on M-Net Series’ comedy-drama series Rescue Me. Mike is the new kid on the block, aka Probie, in NYC firefighting. He is the naive rookie who is out to prove himself and his worth to his co-workers, while figuring out how to arrange his personal life.

Denis Leary
Comedian, actor, writer, producer Denis Leary started off as a popular as a fast-talking, sarcastic comedian in the 1990s. The actor has also demonstrated his ability to be a dramatic performer and creative force behind the camera.
Born into a blue-collar Irish family, he did not consider an acting career until a teacher persuaded him to perform in a school production. Leary later attended Emerson College and was one of the founders of the Emerson Comedy Workshop. After graduation, he briefly taught acting and screenwriting at the school. All the while, Leary continued to develop his comic talents, doing stand-up at the local comedy clubs.
It was Leary's short comedy spots on the MTV cable network that shot him into stardom. These clips featured him launching into a quick verbal assault on popular figures and other current topics.
Films like True Crime put him on screen with famed actor-director Clint Eastwood. But his greatest box office success has been as the voice of a sabertooth tiger named Diego in Ice Age (2002) and its sequel Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (2006).
Leary made his biggest splash on the small screen with M-Net Series’ Rescue Me.
