Starring Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, the series follows the brothers as they hunt demons and other figures of the supernatural.

In the seventh season premiere, Castiel doesn't kill Sam, Dean and Bobby (Jim Beaver) but warns them not to interfere in his business.

Assuming his new role as God, Castiel sets out to right some of the wrongs in the world.

Dean decides they should bind Death (guest star Julian Richings) and order him to stop Castiel, but the former angel is one step ahead of them.

Meanwhile, Sam struggles to deal with the broken wall in his head.

Supernatural S7 Starts on Monday 28 May at 20:30.

Misha Collins

The American actor’s current role as the angel Castiel, on M-Net Series’ Supernatural, is perhaps his best role yet.

Although he now headlines one of the most popular shows on television, the actor has had quite a colourful non-thespian career. He started out his working life as a carpenter and woodworker. After studying Social Theory at the University of Chicago, he earned an internship with the White House under fomrer U.S President, Bill Clinton in the Office of Presidential Personnel in 1995. He has said that working in the White House and then for NPR made him decide that he did not want to be a politician.

Collins later started an educational software company, taking acting and modeling jobs as a way to support his struggling company. After deciding that running a software company was not for him, he pursued acting full time.

Before Supernatural,  Collins had recurring roles on ER and 24, and has guest-starred on NCIS, Nip/Tuck, NYPD Blue, CSI, CSI:NY, Monk and Charmed.

On the big screen, Misha is most known for his role in a film called Karla about a real life serial killer named Paul Bernardo, a film he has openly said he regrets making due to the nature of the real life events the film is based upon. He is also has a small role in Girl Interrupted.

In other creative avenues Collins is a published poet and an award-winning producer for the film, Loot, which won Best Documentary Feature at the LA Film Festival in 2008.

Collins is also known for his sense of humour and humility towards fans, traits which have earned him a dedicated twitter following. He jokingly refers to his Twitter followers as his "minions" and "flunkies," and to himself by several titles including "The Supreme Overlord," "The Babysitter," and "The Great Confuser."

Despite his joking, Misha is also a serious philanthropist.  In 2010 he donated more than US$30,000 to UNICEF for Haiti Earthquake relief. He also founded the charity Random Acts where he invites his twitter fans to contribute in any way they can.

Collins has spent time at a monastery  and in his personal capacity he  practices Buddhist meditation and goes on a 10 day retreat once a year.

In 2002, Collins married Victoria Vantoch. They have one child, West Anaximander Collins. He was born September 23, 2010.

Jared Padalecki

Jared Padalecki starred in the 2009 remake of one of the most popular horror films of all time, Friday the 13th. He also starred as famed artist Thomas Kinkade, alongside Peter O'Toole and Marcia Gay Harden, in the biopic Christmas Cottage. Based on the life of one of America's most collected living artists, the film dramatizes the inspiration behind one of Kinkade's most famous paintings.

His additional feature credits include the horror film House of Wax, with Chad Michael Murray and Paris Hilton; Cry Wolf, as a precocious boarding school student drawn into an elaborate "liar's club" hoax involving a serial killer; Flight of the Phoenix, opposite Dennis Quaid and Hugh Laurie; New York Minute, with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; and Cheaper by the Dozen, starring Steve Martin.

Previously, Padalecki spent two months in Australia filming the lead in the television movie A Ring of Endless Light based on the novel by Madeline L'Engle, and landed the coveted title role in The WB's telefilm Young MacGyver.

In the world of television, he hosted MTV's Room 401. The series, from executive producers Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, took viewers on a weekly, mind-blowing journey in which talented, up-and-coming illusionists scared and deceived innocent bystanders. Prior to SUPERNATURAL, he had been best known for his starring role as Dean Forester, the boyfriend of Alexis Bledel's character, Rory, on Gilmore Girls.
